Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre, Pialba:

  • Comfort Kitchen provides a hot meal every Wednesday night at between 5.30pm-7.30pm at the Hervey Bay Community Centre, Pialba

Urangan Community Centre:

Comfort Kitchen is running two programs from the Urangan Community Centre and has been running since January 2014. It was identified that there was a need for food programs in the Urangan area, particularly for those in need and doing it tough even though.

Comfort Kitchen Breakfast:

  • The Comfort Kitchen Breakfast was launched on the 28th January 2014 and offers FREE Breakfast every Tuesday Morning from 6.30am to 8.00am and targets those experiencing low socioeconomic circumstances as well as school students who are in need of breakfast and a packed lunch.

Comfort Kitchen Lunch:

  • A social program held every Thursday from 10.00am to 1.30pm. The program has a vision of providing a social place for residents of Hervey Bay who may feel isolated or alone. Guests are invited to come along and enjoy morning tea and lunch and meet up with others from the community. The program provides board games, newspapers, puzzles, music, magazines and books along with conversation thatguests can enjoy. All food served is homemade onsite at the Urangan Community Centre Kitchen by a great group of dedicated volunteers.


Community Cafe: 
Monday to Thursday

If you are visiting the Hervey Bay Neighbour Centre drop into our Community Cafe! Try our yummy Milkshakes or sit down for a coffee or tea.
